This is just a quick note that the Hibernate Metamodel Generator code has moved and is now, as of version 4.3.0.Final, part of Hibernate ORM. You can find it in the tooling/metamodel-generator sub-directory of ORM. Unfortunately this news have been falling under the table during the announcement of ORM 4.3.0.Final. After all the focus was on JPA 2.1 support :-)
The Hibernate team is proud to announce the 4.3.0.CR1 release of Hibernate ORM. This is the first release candidate for 4.3 and JPA 2.1 support. For those who maybe are not familiar with our release methodology, this means that in 2-3 weeks this release will essentially be re-tagged as Final unless some critical bugs are reported with it in the meantime.
Shortly after releasing 4.2.7.Final, a regression was found (caused in 4.2.6.Final) that may affect some usages of Date, Calendar-as-a-Date, and JDBC Dates. See https://hibernate.atlassian.net/browse/HHH-8617 for more information. So, we decided to release 4.2.7.SP1 to correct it.
