I pleased to say that I just submitted the JSR proposal for CDI 1.1 (full text[1] is attached). In general, we are pretty happy with CDI 1.0, so this release focuses on a small number of much requested features, along with bug fixes and clarifications.
The Hibernate team is pleased to announce the release of Hibernate Core 4.0.0.Alpha1. Pieces of changes in this release have been in the work for a long time, so even though it is an alpha the changes should all be really really well vetted and tested.
This morning I pushed live the github repository for Hibernate Tools (core).
The Seam 3.0 CR2 release is now available for download from the following location:
Hibernate Validator 4.2.0.Beta2 is bottled up and ready for consumption via the JBoss Maven Repository or SourceForge.
We did a big refactoring of the query engine, hence the alpha tag. If you could focus your tests in this area and see if there are any issues, we would be forever grateful.

As you may have noticed, it's almost spring cleaning time and everyone pushes its new JSR proposal following EE 7. I wanted to share with you what I had in mind for Bean Validation. This is by no mean a definite list but more a starting point to discuss things further. In the end the EG and the community will shape the spec.
