Ceylon 1.0 beta now available!
It's been a long three years since my first posts on this site describing our ideas for the Ceylon language. Now, finally, Ceylon 1.0 is feature complete. From the announcement on ceylon-lang.org:
Hibernate ORM 4.2.6.Final was just released with 20 fixes. Please see the full changelog for more information: https://hibernate.atlassian.net/issues/?jql=project=10031+AND+fixVersion=14150.
Emmanuel is headed to JavaOne, where you can see his hands-on presentations: live on stage coding showing the latest features of Hibernate Search and Bean Validation. It's a unique experience to see how easy it is to get started with these technologies, and also what powerful features they can provide you in just one hour coding.
This 4.4.0.Alpha2 release might look like quite boring to end users as there apparently are no exciting new features.
Back to work after summer fun :)
As you can see from the title, and from a bit late release, we’ve again been very busy.
Hibernate ORM 4.2.5.Final was just released, containing about a dozen bug fixes. The vast majority of them were community contributions through pull requests -- thank you! Please see the full changelog for more information: https://hibernate.atlassian.net/issues/?jql=project=10031+AND+fixVersion=13953
Guillaume pointed out recently on the hibernate-dev mailing list that is has been a very long time since the last release of Hibernate JPA Metamodel Generator release and that it is time to do another one. And we listened. We just released 1.3.0.Final. As usual, you can get the artefacts from the JBoss Maven repo or from SourceForge.
With the release of Hibernate Validator 5.1.0.Alpha1 just out, it is time to pick up on the Bean Validation 1.1 spotlight series and cast a light onto method validation. Long time Hibernate Validator users know that method validation is part of Validator since version 4.2, however only as a provider specific featue. Bean Validation 1.1 makes method validation now part of the specification.
