Shortly after releasing ORM 4.3.2.Final and 4.2.9.Final a critical regression was found, caused by HHH-8961 and reverted/corrected by HHH-9010. Instead of creating service-pack builds, we decided to simply release the next versions.

This is just a quick note that the Hibernate Metamodel Generator code has moved and is now, as of version 4.3.0.Final, part of Hibernate ORM. You can find it in the tooling/metamodel-generator sub-directory of ORM. Unfortunately this news have been falling under the table during the announcement of ORM 4.3.0.Final. After all the focus was on JPA 2.1 support :-)

The Hibernate team is proud to announce the Hibernate ORM 4.3.0.Final Release. With this release, Hibernate is now a certified implementation of the JPA 2.1 specification. Certified awesomeness!

Just after the release of Hibernate ORM 4.2.8.Final last week, we realized one of the many performance improvements had broken integration with latest stable release of Hibernate Search 4.4.0.Final.

The second release candidate for Hibernate ORM 4.3.0 is just released. There were a few issues with CR1 that required a second CR, especially HHH-8739 and HHH-8759.
