Help

James and Cheyenne (from the JBoss.org design team) have been hard at work creating a logo. We've worked through a few designs, and picked a few that we want to share with the community and get feedback on.

Let us know what you think!

Try a welding mask slightly from the side looking down at sparks flying from the lower left corner ;-)

r3v3 - it's quite similar to the seam's current logo

r4v1-color option 7 - very cool logo with jboss style elements :)

All the logos are pretty good, but r4 is the most impressive. You chose a powerful name, your logo should reflect that power. However, right now it doesn't look like the rest of the logos. I think if you changed the color to match the Seam logo, it would be the hands-down winner. Right now, I like the black and white design, it just looks out of place next to the Seam logo. I think the term Weld conjures powerful imagery and r4 highlights that.

I think the kerning can be improved on the weld logo. The seam logo looks great. I think the Weld typography should match the Seam lettering.

Nicklas had an excellent suggestion as well. Welding masks are powerful and iconic.

is nice, too

I think many people have a hard time associating the joint-based logos which depict the actual produced weld. Most people probably associate flying sparks with welding and the usage of welding masks...
